2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R – Sportbike Motorcycle Review
Zipping past an unexpected Border Patrol checkpoint near Tecate, California, we lean into a banked turn pinned in fourth-gear with the tach hovering near redline on Kawasaki's best-selling sportbike. But it's not what you think. No border agents or any other government officials are scrambling to run us down with flashing lights blazing because, lucky for us, Kawasaki's best-selling sportbike is the Ninja 250R. can i ask where is kawasaki country form?
I rode dirt bikes when I was a kid, but had not ridden for over 20 years when I recently took the MSF class. I know have my license and was thinking of buying an iron 883 Harley, but am quite interested in this bike. I am 38 and have never owned a bike, but am also not very big 5-8 135. The Harley is definitely heavier and I am starting to think maybe the ninja might be good for a season just to get familiar with street riding and everything associated with it. Any suggestions from owners?
Japan…
i would say definately go for the ninja, as you sadi if you haven’t ridden properly in a while, it may be toomuch to jump straight on a harley, i have this bike and its perfect, and im a bigger guy 6’4 200 and i’ve got no issues with it whatsoever, and as the guy said this bike is so light its great for people starting out, or restarting after time out like yourself perhaps, jsut to get to grips with a bike again..good luck man!
i would definately say ninja mate, but at the same time, you will get sick of the power quite quickly, they are not the fastest bikes, maybe a zx6 would be the way to go
Thanks for the feedback guys. The local Harley shop was having a deal this week $1000 off a new Iron 883, bought it yesterday. Too good to pace up for the price, besides, I am a cruiser type guy.
i want to get a motorcycle what do i have to do to get a license i don’t have a driver license yet
lal
You have to take a motorcycle license test.
yeah too bad in israel its $10,000
damn them jews
how much is this bike?
zionists, not the jewish people. There is a serious difference.
yeah, get some kids on a 100HP supersport, way to go. Don’t like a 250, get a 500, that bitch is on par with the 6R when it comes to acceleration… Just won’t get you in as much trouble.
Why don’t you just suggest beginners get a 10 or 14, save some money & all?
all depends on if uve ever ridden
true that; and where you’ve ridden
congrats on your new ride. I’ve heard good things about the 883, hope she’s grand.
this bike is really good for beginners .. its just fun to ride
