im looking at this bike new im getting of the dirt track on to the road and could any give some indecation of the power this would have compared to an 03 kx 125. i know how different the 4 stokes are im just wondering if the kx 125 would smash it or if its around the same

is it just me or is the new klx 250s slow as fuck i have bought one and it just seems to have no power love to get some feedback on that maybe sprockets,exhausts, different bike like i nearly got smoked by a dirty old 93′ xr 250 all it had was a bigger carby fuck is
Took the words out of my mouth. It’s a great trail bike for a beginner. Problems: it’s heavy, slow, gotta ride clutch for any power and some other issues. Just my personal opinion, some may love it and some won’t.
i have an 07 klx250 its geared down to a 12 sprocket and it does 140 in 6th gear at 8 thousand rpm and it smoke all other 250 4 strokes only upgrades are a front sprocket and i cut out the 1/4 inch hole out of the back of the pipe
sounds like i might give that a go thanks mate for the reply i’m happy with the klx but it is heavily restricted so that is something i will need to look into did you notice any big changes in the performance apart from top speed?
it has more torque in first and second but if your gunna bomb start it it has to be in second but if you can go get some royal purple motorcyle oil and that gave mine some more power i dont understand how it did but since i started using it theres less drag on the motor but thats all the changes in it i have noticed

im 12 i know my thing saz that i 19 i just picked a random age same as my state im from the USA and i ride one of these things and im 5 foot 8 i also ride a klx 125 and a kx 125 but i have no videos of my kx but for the 250 you have to ride the clutch alot to get any power but i have no videos of the 250 check out my vid of my klx 125

I have a KLX250s 09 model and yeah slow as all hell but after i chucked a full muzzy zorst 128 main jet 2 clips up on the needle 13 tooth front sprocket k and N filter and KX 300 snorkel the thing is a monster! completly different from the stock im just about to chuck the 300 upgrade kit in next week also.

I just purchased a 09 KLX 250s and for the most part I really love it. The bike is not designed to be a “monster dirt bike.’ But I do find it light, nimble and excellent handling on tight trails. Its a fun bike to ride and in the street it will do at least 70 mph with no problem. The bike is a little low on low end power but it makes up for it in the weight and handling department. Kawasaki did an excellent job on all the redesigneds and updates for the 09 model! Kudos!

what is the diffrence from KLX 250 and KDX 250?
you can only yamaha wr250R compere to klx250s. wr250f is ultimate of road monster and wr250r & klx250s are dual sport bikes.
KDX 250 is a 2 Stroke and the KLX 250 is a 4 Stroke
im thinking of getting th klx 250 but i ant to take the lights and mirrors off and change the tork to make it more like a moto bike would you know if that is possible and should i get the kdx or klx?

I have an ’06 KLX. Great bikes. What you can do is,
aftermarket pipe, re jet the carby, de-restrict the carby(unless the ’09 has already been modded), remove the airbox lid, 13 tooth front sprocket.
These have made a HUGE difference. All the best. Enjoy!
