Well, this looks like the bike I will add to my “fleet” tomorrow for my 60th birthday. Fitting too for a guy who has ridden since age 12 when my Dad bought me a Yamaha 55CC trail bike to BRIBE me into not running away anymore…Funny. It just made me discover how far & FAST you can run on a bike! Hopefully the transmission problems have been sorted out cuz here I come.

After months of waiting, I put my deposit down on a 2009 Black R1200RT. I ride away on March 21, 2009, first day of spring. I’m soo looking forward to taking a couple of trips on it this summer! Hope it’s as good as everyone says.

U can buy an rt1200 any color. Provided black. (Too “flou” 4 me in this video, too “TV spot”, but trip is the really soul of this bike, that i drive every day home/job: 12 Km… But i can dream Norvey, off course1).
Looked for 6 mths for a 2nd hand blue one – found a minter with 2,700 dry miles. Traded my beloved Triumph!
The BM is brilliant! Love it – agile, comfy, quick.

Great bike, I took mine to Istanbul & Athens last summer. It got me from UK to Greece in 48 hours.
On the return journey on the last day I rode from Northern Italy via the back roads over the Alps and got home to UK in one day, awesome bike.
Nice video, but had very little to do with the R1200 Rt other than they were riding it
You could have put any bike in there and it would have been the same result.

Io ho questa BMW la ho però grigia metalizzata e con tutti gli optional, appena comprata (da un mesetto circa) usata. Ha tutti gli optional possibili e immaginabili e l’ho pagata poco e niente.. è una moto FANTASTICA! E questa estate dovrò farmi un viaggio di una settimana e mezzo in trentino alto adige con questa bestia!
