Thank you for this excellent review.

Love the review I have had one of these for going on 3 weeks now but only started wearing it this morning as my classico strap snapped going down a road at speed.

I love the helmet although it is pretty tight to begin with, Also have you noticed that the strap is quite lacking as far as adjustments go. I have adjusted it as far as i can and i swear it will choke me in certain positions

  7. wbwvids says:

Yes, and this is why we like the plain old proven and simple D-ring adjustment straps instead!

The video was pretty might right on. If you’re riding in very damp conditions you’ll still get some condensation but the anti-fog works pretty well otherwise.

Skazzious is right about the straps. I actually like the snap-in design but wish they gave a bit more room. It’s very rare that it binds me so I’m comfy 99% of the time.

The video is right on and I agree with Skazzious about the strap being barely long enough. Mine fits comfortable but with no room to spare. Otherwise it’s light, quiet, comfortable and the sunvisor works great. One of the few with in-between positioning. The anti fog works but if you ride in wet or damp areas, you still may get condensation.

Interesting review, pity about the sound. I’m just about to buy one of these (I’m in the UK) and greatly appreciate this video. Great job!

Just received mine today and wore it into work tonight.. Found the fit neat to tight but comfy. I found the visor fogged up a bit and also seemed hazy in the glare of oncoming lights.. Any reccommendations for cleaning this??.. Ps thanks for review, very helpful

  12. wbwvids says:

We just posted an article about this, apparently some visors are fogged or have haze from the mold release agents used in production. It’s important to clean the visor first, especially the inside, and some rubbing alcohol should be ok to use occasionally on a polycarbonate visor without damaging it. Clean the inside thoroughly and it should remove the release agents and a super-clean visor should also help prevent fogging.

    Name of article or link?

  14. ToadkillerDog says:

the alcohol rub and washing with mild soap and water got rid of 90% of the condensation issue. Thanks for the follow-up tiy :)

This helmet just got 5 stars in the recent flip lid SHARP helmet safety tests…

  16. GeertKr says:

    Nice framerate.

  17. warwickstingray says:

One of only two system helmets that got 5 stars! And the flip front stayed completely shut in 90% of impacts. Which is the bit that has always worried me most about flip front helmets. To better it you have to spend £280 on a BMW helmet which stays closed 100% of the time.

    look like my paintball helmit

I checked out this helmet today in store (I’m getting my first bike soon) and I was impressed. I know it’s probably just me cos I’ve never had a helmet before, but this thing was awesome. It was comfortable, stylish and so easy to use with gloves on. I was especially impressed with the flip mechanism, which I had never seen before. The flip mechanism is also very handy as I wear glasses and helmets I had tried previously were problematic but this. This was great. Definately going to buy Caberg!

  20. wbwvids says:

Glad to hear it, I sold mine in the annual webBikeWorld spring garage sale and I’m now sorry I did, it’s one of the best flip-ups out there!

  21. Th3BritishGuy says:

Great review on the Caberg Trip on your website btw. I checked it out last night and I want to get it even more now. I’m going in to town today to get all my gear, still no bike however lol. How bad is this water seepage through the visor in bad weather? Will it happen in a light shower or does in have to be a proper downpour?

  22. wbwvids says:

Good question – most helmets leak, some worse than others. Perhaps some owners can comment on leakage in the Caberg Trip during a rain storm?

  23. Th3BritishGuy says:

Just bought the helmet today. Very pleased with the quality. We’ve got a few storms due the next few days so I’ll test it out then.

Could not have asked for a more informative review on the site, and this is a great vid. Thanks a lot for the time and effort :) . I just bought one new for £85 – can’t wait for it to get delivered.

  25. wbwvids says:

Thanks, glad we could help! Sounds like you got a steal…
