thats cuz it perfectly suits escaping shinra in the night on the highway, going fast an hitting shit with your sword. gotta remember the visuals the music helped make this game and its storyline so epic.

Yeah, funeral music doesn’t always have to be sad anyway. The event’s already sad enough as it is, and besides, unless there’s a sad song that the person really loved, wouldn’t you want your “parting” song to be something awesome? Same reasons I never wear all black to funerals…

this game and its music never ceases to retake top spot on my favorite game of all time it was a fight between suikoden and suikoden 2 for a couple years becuz each had an AMAZING story and had some of the best music period. but this song and cutscene is what really drew me deeper into Final Fantasy VII and then theres the forgotten city’s music as well as (no i didnt forget) the legendary ONE WINGED ANGEL one of the greatest boss themes ever equal with gothic neclord from suikoden2
