this vid is fail. The whole point of a power wheelie is to let the bike’s own POWER lift the front end, not you pulling it up. Basically people, just red line your bike in like, 2nd n change gear really fast ive u have like, nyfin above a 250 n the front end will lift.

  5. cjon3zy says:

if your just learning wheelies dont listen to this guy …. time your front suspension to lift up the front end instead of yanking back cuz that just takes way to much effort just to get the front wheel off the ground the way i learned power wheelies i have a gixxer 600 (may differ with cc) start out in first gear get up to about 25 mph pretty quickly let off the throttle let the forks compress and as they uncompress and bounce back crank back the throttle & the forks will yank the bike up 4 u

redline a hayabusa in second and ur going 150-160mph mate. lol.

  7. blagahaga says:

when did i mention a hayabusa? and if its doin 160 mph in second, and yet its a 6 geared bike, capable of what, 208 mph according to wiki, ur saying it would only b able to do another like, 50 mph wiv 4 other gears? i doubt it.Anyway, i was merely stating that for a power wheelie, u shouldnt have to lift up, it should do it on its own via its own POWER.

If you’re riding a 600 it takes a little more effort to wheelie however don’t pull the bar back like how this dude is telling you. Just get about half way up the RPMs, close the throttle so the front goes down and right as its bouncing back up crack that throttle open and you have yourself a power wheelie. Of course the other alternative is just step it up and get yourself a 1000cc bike and open up the throttle, you’ll be power wheeling all day long with no effort.

I have done 154 km/hr on my r1 in first gear. Top speed is 300. Maybe a bit more. So your logic is flawed. But your advice may have some merit.

  11. tripp4ever2003 says:

Yup, I topped an 07 R1 out at 109MPH in first gear. My 07 GSXR 600 does about 90 in first.

  12. deano845 says:

iv got an 87′ VFR700 and the only way to pull a wheely on it is to use the clutch

  13. ninjatheory says:

when you say 600 do you mean 4 cylinder or vtwin?

  14. cesarb714 says:

    4 cylinder

  15. XxCMxX92 says:

what if i run out of rpm is there a way to shift while wheelieing?

whats better to start off on, a power wheelie or clutch?

  21. nevatutube says:

Your video sucks dude, you really suck too.

  22. perker180 says:

Its hardest to wheelie a hayabusa because its world fastest motorcycle and the weight is high, so.

  23. TankThompson2011 says:

Great video’s man really appreciate it. You said do this in first gear, which i will to start… But can i do it in like 3rd gear if i do the same tactics? Explain. :)

  24. jim4649 says:

This dude must be on a 600. Try that technique at 7,000 revs on a CBR1000RR and you’ll be on your ass in a heartbeat.

He should also warn newbies to cover their rear brake. If you inadvertently get too much air and you’re scaring the shit outta yourself, you can easily bring it back down with just a touch of rear brake.

  25. gibsonguy001 says:

Jim, I guess you didn’t hear what he said 27 seconds into the video?
