Racecar vs. Motorcycle vs. Bowerboat
************************************************* Three diferent vehicles, three Honda engines. Which is fastest in a straight line. Contestants: * Jenson Button in his Formula 1 car. * Michael Rutter on his factory Super Bike. * Steve Curtis in his Power Boat. (Had to cut interviews to get below 10 minutes. Sorry, I suck at editing) **************************************************

i would like to have seen how a moto gp bike would have done what with the car beeing the very pinnical of race cars its only fair to use a race bike from the very top class albeit not the very best drag racers
name any manufacturer that can do this
lol a 10k streetbike can beat an f1 car in a drag race
What is the song at the start of the video?
ok….No factory streetbike can beat an f1 car. Put an F1 car on soft compound slicks and it will run in the low 8 second range
lol….Get one of the 1900hp turbo F1 cars from the 80′s and se what would happen to your little bike.
hmmm….F1 cars in the 80′s did not have 1900hp, 1300 BHP was the highest they ever made which translates to even less actual horspower at the tires…regardless, even with that, my little bike would still rape it…
hmmmmm…..Yes they did. There were several car making almost 1900bhp in qualifying trim
lol no they didnt…google it if you want to…anyway it is pointless to keep arguing because we will probably never see the race
Yeah it is pointless. But fyi Honda was producing F1 engines that were capable of 1900bhp in qualifying trim.

Clearly you only watched part of this vid when you posted that.
NO street Motorcycle (recumbents I’m not sure about), could ever beat an F1 car in ANY drag race no matter how high the power to weight ratio is. Motorcycles are limited by a high center of gravity. If you accelerate too quickly the bike will fall backwards. Bikes also don’t have aerodynamic aids for genrating downpressure and limitations in aerodynamics limit top speed.
Actually, drag racers could cross 4′s (if it weren’t for NHRA technology restrictions). Even top fuel dragsters can leave F1 cars as if standing still.
doesnt matter what anyone says bikes for every day use are 10000x more fun than any car on normal roads
dont forget that the bike is just a daily used bike that is well equipped. anyone can take this motorcycle. but noone can take this car.
bike rulzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Haha future world champion but not in that car
No you can see why an F1 car is 30 seconds a lap quicker than a GP/superbike. The Barcelona absolute lap record is 1.13′s, the moto gp bikes are nowhere close to that.
You have spelt powerboat wrong, you have put bowerboat. Anyway this is no suprise the F1 car is far better.
Who dosnt listen?it cost a million pound a season its not a million pound bike it cost about a hundred grand to build this bike and its not a moto GP bike its a world superbike I saw this on channel 5 when it first aired.
and you think you speak for everyone with that comment? saying that i did love my R6 when i still had it, but I’ve always liked cars more.
power to weight ratio imagine that
just to correct it – the bike is not an everyday bike. it’s “totally hand built”. 2:40
So, being a custom race bike, it will have a racing clutch, just like the F1 car. I don’t think that anyone can use this bike – in the F1 car, you can rev it up to hell and pop the clutch. You just can’t do that with the bike.
And you need someone to start it up! daily? not really.
I think this year’s MotoGP bikes have higher top-speeds than F1 cars. I watched the Barcelona race today and i see Lorenzo doing 326 KPH….i’ve yet to see any F1 car do that this year.
I hate the FiA, what new “safety” measures are they gonna put next for the F1? V6 engines? 30 million budget cap? No refueling for the entire race? No more winter testing too?
No wonder F1 is soooo boring this season….
Iv still got so much respect for F1 cars. i remember in the 2004 season, Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya would power their BMW to 330 KPH at Nurburgring in Germany!
Well, i too remembered Kimi Raikkonen doing 347 KPH in Monza, Italy 2005. But those were the good ol’ V10 engine days.
This year has yet to see any F1 car go beyond 330 KPH during the race. It’s starting to lose it’s speciality, especially since there’s gonna be GP2 teams on the grid next year.
Somebody seriously needs to force Max Mosley to retire. He’s downgrading F1 quality. “More competitive” my ass…..
