    YAA EXO 1000!

For those of you that care, here’s what I think… I just picked one up today, I have only used it once and it is LOUD! my cheap ($150 or so) heavy Icon Mainframe helmet is way quieter. I’m a little disappointed that i spent $300+ on such a noisy helmet. pumping up the cheek pads helps but if you have a loud/ naked bike you will need earplugs.

  3. Sportbiketrackgear says:

I have ridden in both the ICON as well as the EXO1000. I do not feel the ICON is quieter. IMO any well ventilated helmet produces some noise, certain designs more than others. The EXO1000 is one of the best, most versatile street helmets we have seen so far.

I wish they had better paint jobs on the helmet, I would buy one immediately but I’m stuck on wanting the shoei kagayama or kiyonara, just for looks of course which I know is bad, but I gotta look sweet. :)

  5. bratcher71 says:

Would it solve the loudness problem if you just close the vents??

  6. papito8six says:

what’s your take on the internal visor?

  7. punkguy71 says:

I think it is loud weather the vents are open or closed. there isn’t much difference.

  8. punkguy71 says:

the internal visor is the best part. it is really cool.

  9. cceessaarr234 says:

Hey, if the helmet’s non-inflated fit is loose, a leaky air bladder (for whatever reason) would render the helmet unusable. Please tell us about warranty!!!

  10. Sportbiketrackgear says:

When not inflated the helmet should still fit snugly (properly). The warranty is 1 year through Scorpion. The air pump is for adjustments, not to make it fit properly

  16. cobraspartan says:

super sick helmet, he’s right when he says u gotta see it in person. When i walked in to the shop for my new helmet these were in the back and they still stood out. I tried it on and loved it but they didnt have my size and the cutie sales girl sold me on the Icon Domain 2. that internal visor is badass. damnit!

  17. AznFriedRiceDT says:

does the vent works good? because I read alot of review and people said it gets really hot during the summer

  18. Sportbiketrackgear says:

That would depend upon the user I suppose. It vent well, there are others which vent better. The drop down inner shield changes the way the air is moved into the helmet, resulting in less airflow than a standard helmet. A bit of a trade off.

  19. aaarsix says:

2 questions: how much does it weigh? how many shell sizes does it have? thanks

  20. muddboggin07 says:

what do you recomend for most ventalation

  21. oVoLaTiLex says:

would you say that this helmet is as protective as an arai or shoei? What helmet is the most protective in your opinion? Forget about cost

  22. Sportbiketrackgear says:

This is a tough question. I think there are many good ones out there. I do believe the Shark RSR2 may be the one

  23. oVoLaTiLex says:

    thank you.

  24. oVoLaTiLex says:

ok. But it didn’t say it was snell certified. What’s the difference between dot, snell, and ECE 22-05? Sorry for all the questions. I’m just new to this and i wanna make sure I’m well protected.
