Sony HXR-MC1/HD motorcycle helmet-cam/Test #1/VRIDETV.com
Virtual Riding TV's first test ride with the Sony HXR-MC1 Digital HD Camera Video Recorder. Please Note: For the purpose of this test the audio was not altered. I agree with all of the comments regarding the wind noise. Once the testing is complete, videos will be posted with music and the audio adjusted accordingly. This footage was shot in the Fraser Canyon from Hope to The Last Spike Point of Interest located between Spences Bridge and Ashcroft British Columbia, Canada. Your comments and ...

why is it so noisey driving along ?
The footage is nice but the sound should be off.
The mic captured too much of the wind noise. Other than that, the footage of the ride and scenery is high quality. Thanks for sharing your ride.
I think it’s just a test video anyways. I’m sure the noise will be cut down when incorporated into the videos. nice shots!
superd video mate!! how much for all this stuff?? ahhh and amazing road in an amazing place!!
yeah the wind noise is loud but when a track is put over the top it’ll look great. Is the volume level as far down as it will go ?
Hi alleywatson,
There are two volume settings:
Normal (setting used in this video)
Low (this setting was used on the return trip, using AVC HD 9M (HQ) video setting) This video will be posted within the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for the feedback,
Jeff

Awesome as always mate
Very good video quality and smooth. Good to see you aren’t one of these guys who shakes their head around too much.
Wind noise completely normal but of course can be edited out completely or reduced for ambience while adding sound tracks as you plan to do.
I like the setup. How much for the cam?
Any other equipment required or is the cam a complete unit…SD card or Hard drive?

Nice. Gotta get me one of dem! Though not ready to plunk down the 3 grand for it.
Looking forward to more!
Chris
Love it!!! Great Video.
Amazing quality. I’m going to have to stick with my gopro for now though. Looks like a fun road to ride on too.
You need to cover the microphones of your camcorders, example foam is one of those that does absorb wind noise. You might also use tape little bit to protect microphones from getting wet of water if try foam. First tape then foam and probably some other so the foam doesnt fly off.
well , I like the video, but I always prefer to clear the original sound and to put music, since therefore we give a personal touch him, pity that now youtube limits much the songs with protected content
Great Video and Top Quality.
I love it.
Wish you always good drive.
Greetings from Germany.
Where can I get one?
Hi frankyfong36,
You can get one through a Sony store or their website.
Have a good day,
Jeff
