i will never buy any helmet that cost me less than 300 dollars and doesn’t have a long history behind their company. Shoei will allow you to send your helmet to them for xray analysis and replace your pads if needed.

It’s ignorance like this that made this company begin making helmets. This is the flat truth: This helmet is both DOT and ECE approved. Those are pretty much the two best standards currently available. The cost is a non-issue. A safe helmet is a safe helmet. If you want to pay Shoei 700 bucks for the illusion of an added safety, go ahead. I currently run a Shark helmet (~$350) myself, primarily for their safety background, and if it makes you feel better they are the leading brand in Europe.

I got admit I must agree with JWHITNEY. Although the company is new, it is stardandized against the ECE rating. If you have done your homework, checked out the certifications websites and read reviews you would realize that if it passes ECE and DOT that means something. I TAKE ECE OVER SNELL ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. HOwever I’ll take BSI over ECE

You my friend are an elitist. I have never heard of anyone checking out from a less expensive helmet. Even the cheap ones have to pass STANDARDS. Not your expensive taste or fashion standards that mean don’t mean shit in an accident, but impact absorbtion and distribution performance. All bling and extra conveniences aside (and maybe weight in some cases but this helmet is actually lighter than most) they’re still just damn helmets.

in the helmet harbor video, he said sparx is made by kbc, so its a big and established company, not as prestigious as an arai, but its not exactly a brand new company.

I wish I had known about this lid a month ago, I just bought an HJC CL-15. Its decent but I bet this one is much nicer.

After checking their site, it seems like they are an american company that has partnered with a manufacturor (kbc) so kbc probably makes them and sparx designs them.

What’s most impressive is you can get this awesome helmet for as low as 40-60 USD on some sites, brand new!
